Why is Paraffin Wax Fully Refined more suitable for colored candles?
In the production process of colored candles, vibrant color, even combustion, and fragrance diffusion are crucial factors in determining the quality of the candle. Fully refined paraffin wax is a high-purity, low-oil paraffin product (<0.5%) and is the raw material used by most colored candle manufacturers.
Unlike semi-refined or crude paraffin wax, fully refined paraffin wax undergoes de-oiling, bleaching, and impurity removal to better lock in colorants and fragrances, resulting in vibrant colors and long-lasting fragrance. Junda Wax's Paraffin Wax Fully Refined offers a variety of melting points, such as 58–60°C, 60–62°C, or 64°C, to meet the needs of candles of varying colors and shapes. It is highly malleable and customizable.

How to properly mix Paraffin Wax Fully Refined and dye?
The color of a colored candle depends not only on the quality of the dye but also on its compatibility with the paraffin wax. Fully refined paraffin wax has a uniform structure and high transparency, which allows the dye molecules to be evenly dispersed during the mixing process, resulting in vibrant colors and excellent light transmission.
During the color matching process, it is generally recommended to add the fat-soluble dye after the Paraffin Wax Fully Refined is completely melted to around 70°C. Then, slowly stir for 3–5 minutes to allow the Paraffin Wax Fully Refined and dye to fully blend. If you want a multi-color blend or gradient effect, pour the candle in layers, heating each layer after it cools before pouring the next.
Tip: When using fully refined paraffin wax, it is not recommended to over-add dye or fluorescent powder, as this will affect the burning quality.
Junda Wax candle dyes are SGS and REACH certified and blend perfectly with our fully refined paraffin wax. Their color is stable and will not fade, making them ideal for handmade candles, artistic candles, and festive candles.
How do I choose the right melting point?
Different candle types require Paraffin Wax Fully Refined with different melting points. Junda Wax offers fully refined paraffin wax with various melting points:
| Candle Types | Recommended melting point range | Features |
| Jar Candles | 58°C–60°C | Even melting speed prevents cracking, making it suitable for glass or metal containers. |
| Pillar Candles | 60°C–62°C | Maintains stiffness and resists deformation. |
| Carved and Shaped Candles | 62°C–64°C | High hardness and strong support, suitable for complex shapes. |
| Handmade Gradient Candles | 58°C–62°C | Natural layered fusion effect, suitable for craft creations. |
By customizing paraffin wax with different melting points, we can flexibly meet customers' production formulas. Junda Factory can supply fully refined paraffin wax with different melting points and specifications on demand to match the manufacturing needs of various colored candles.
What are the advantages of fully refined paraffin wax?
In the production of colored candles, combustion cleanliness is a crucial factor influencing the consumer experience. Junda Wax's fully refined paraffin wax has an extremely low oil content (<0.5%), produces virtually no black smoke or residue, and offers a stable, bright flame.
In contrast, unrefined waxes or those containing high levels of impurities may cause "wax tears," odor, or smoke. Junda Wax's Paraffin Wax Fully Refined products are ISO9001 certified and safe for use in scented and decorative candle manufacturing. Paraffin Wax Fully Refined's high purity makes it easier to blend with natural waxes such as vegetable wax and soy wax, achieving environmental goals while maintaining excellent machinability and cost-effectiveness.
