Why Is Fully Refined Paraffin Suitable for Making Candles?

2025-10-20

In the candle industry, the purity and stability of raw materials directly determine the product's combustion performance and appearance quality. Fully refined paraffin wax is a high-purity solid wax obtained through a refining process involving deep de-oiling, deodorization, and impurity removal. Its oil content is typically less than 0.5%. After molding, it exhibits excellent structural strength and smoothness, resulting in a stable flame and virtually no smoke. Compared to semi-refined or standard paraffin wax, Fully refined paraffin wax offers advantages in combustion cleanliness and aroma, making it particularly suitable for high-end scented candles, craft candles, and decorative products.

Is Fully refined paraffin wax more environmentally friendly?

Fully refined paraffin wax's impurities and oil content are strictly controlled. During combustion, it is fully oxidized, producing almost exclusively carbon dioxide and water vapor, with no noticeable smoke or odor. This meets the stringent indoor air quality and environmental standards of the European and American markets. Junda Wax's Fully refined paraffin wax products are certified by international authorities such as RoHS and CE, and are widely used by candle brands exporting to Europe and the United States, helping customers successfully pass local quality and environmental audits.

The Differences Between Paraffin Waxes with Different Melting Points

The melting point range for fully refined paraffin wax is generally 58°C–66°C. The melting point directly influences the type and application of candles:

  • 58–60°C: Excellent fluidity makes it ideal for container candles and scented candles, and the surface is smooth after cooling.

  • 60–62°C: Excellent hardness and toughness make it ideal for pillar candles, tealights, and other shapes.

  • 64–66°C: High melting point and excellent heat resistance make it suitable for sculpture wax, outdoor candles, and high-temperature applications.

Junda Wax previously supplied the 60/62 paraffin wax to customers in Germany and Poland, which was very popular in the European market. We have already established long-term partnerships with these two candle manufacturers.

Is Refined fully paraffin wax safe? What certifications does it hold?

Junda Wax's fully refined paraffin wax has passed numerous international testing and certifications, including:

RoHS certification: Free of heavy metals such as lead, cadmium, and mercury. It also has CE certification.

Junda's Fully refined paraffin wax certification not only demonstrates product quality but also facilitates export for candle manufacturers, making it easier for their products to pass overseas regulatory reviews.
