1. Temperature Control: Paraffin wax only melts with the rise of its temperature to a certain degree (it melts anywhere between 47 to 64°C). So, you shouldn't let it melt during transport. In fact, it would be best if you kept the temperature under 40°C to make absolutely sure that no changes of state occur.
2. Packaging: Preventing leakage or spillage should be your key concern when it comes to packaging. Paraffin wax is generally packaged in drums, cartons, or bulk containers. Make sure the packaging material is wax and paraffin compatible. Also, it should be strong enough to endure the transportation conditions not only in terms of materials but also of temperature changes.
3. Handling: When handling the wax containers is, always bear in mind that you should do that gently so as not to break the container. If containers are broken, wax could leak or the package could be damaged. So if you want less chance of accidents, you have to use proper equipment and follow safety instructions and procedures.
4. Ventilation: Make sure that the transport vehicle carries enough fresh air so that flammable vapors do not concentrate there. Paraffin wax is not a highly flammable substance, but when heated it can form flammable vapors.
